An anonymous account is created automatically when you first open the app, identified by a random device key. If you back it up with Sign in with Apple we also store the identifier Apple issues and, if you share it, your email address. When you import a cooking video we store the link you shared and the recipe we extract from the post's public caption, audio and images. If you enable notifications we store your device's push token. If you subscribe, our payment partner tells us whether your subscription is active — we never see payment details.
Extraction uses Apify (fetching the public post) and OpenRouter (structuring the recipe). Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. Everything is hosted with Hetzner in the EU. These providers process data only to provide the service.
No ads, no tracking across other apps or sites, no selling or sharing data for marketing. Cooking happens on your device; imported recipes work offline.
Your data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account in Settings removes your account, recipes and push tokens from our servers immediately and asks Apple to revoke the Sign in with Apple connection.
